Best lunch place around by miles. Delicious home-made sandwiches with selection of bread - olive, ciabatta, bloomer etc. Delicious pasta and all the usual staples you'd expect from a salumeria - sundried tomatoes, olives, peppers, dried pasta, olive oil.
The couple who run this place are very nice. This is their 29th year in business so certainly doing something right! Looking forward to the 30th anniversary :) -

Great Sandwiches with fresh Italiano ingredients at a reasonable price. Can request gf bread or additions changes to your sandwich. Made a great picnic lunch!

Great Italian sandwiches. Authentic Italian. We have been traveling London and have experienced several variations and levels of food. If you want a true Italian lunch this is your place. No alcohol and just a few seats. More of a take away place.

Not much regard for food hygiene on my last visit sadly. The guy who prepared my sandwich did not use gloves, coughed on his hands a couple times, counted coins from the till then used his hands to hold my sandwich whilst he cut it in half...to say I was shocked/felt ill was an understatement...it's put me off returning unfortunately!

After reading some o the other reviews here I feel a bit under-qualified to write one for this restaurant having visited just once and having no idea what is meant by 'authentic Italian'.
But looking at the queue when I got there at around 2pm for lunch I was flabbergasted. Close to 15 people waiting patiently to be served. And the food was being prepared right then and there. The food was amazing - make no mistake - but I do have a gripe and that is I didn't have much time to talk and understand what the different things were since I am not well acquainted with Italian cuisine.
But considering how awesome the food is, I'm definitely going back there and I am quite determined to try out different stuff to get a better idea of what the different tastes are.
